The volumes series is a specific subset of the general earthwork series focusing on the details of computations. Methods presented in the extended version include average end-area, prismoidal formula, volumes from profiles, borrow pit volumes, and elevation model height differencing. For this free training program, we conclude with the basic setup of the average end-area method; we do not go into the calculations. Running time 5 minutes.
